"Bonus stage in SG"

Aug 04, 2008 14:26

" My friend gave me an analogy of my current status with respect to a game - It's like bonus stage of Sonic the hedgehog. " I agree.

7 months doesn't seem that long, because I had originally intended to stay for 15 to 18 mths. Now that I am back in sg.

I dunno. The way I see SG and the ppl ard me is rather different compared to how I saw prior to leaving for Canada. Generally speaking, it is rather dissappointing, I do not believe SG has changed that much therefore I must have been the one who changed. If you ask me what is my greatest thing that I got from there and back to SG, I would say it is confidence. ( but I am making doubly sure that it would not turn into arrogance '_' ) I probably forgot what's the culture like in SG, I guess over a little bit of time I would say its still ok here. Especially since national day is just round the corner and I can at least say that there is something in SG folks which is admirable. Let's see. Arcade, bah chor mee ( damn, the original stallholder changed, and it wasn't that nice now =_= ), carrot cake and c.rice I have my fair share of it.

I still like SG though, but I do not eliminate the possibility that I might want to live elsewhere for a period of time in the future. ( which I had never thought of before )

P.s: I want to see heavy rain in SG, =)

This week and probably next week mainly should be abt meeting frds. I actually wanted to sign up for the ring making course on wed, but I abolished the idea after finding out that it cost abt $250 for a one day course..( the last time I saw which was abt a year ago was only $90 =_= ) I have to learn myself, at least thats something I hope to achieve in my short stay in SG.

Monday afternoon, I juz adjusted the "can can" ( cuz it was really duh during the time at cosfest 2007 particularly for sitting poses ) I slapped on my duh wig and stuff and I figured out that maybe for a very slim pathetic chance I can still afford to pull off. Hence, I should carry on with the idea for the shoot. Again the weather in SG is really killer, no air-con + cosplay = GG. Wig cap on srsly equal double GG. That's why I dun thk I want to use one.

N.B: you guys can tag along if you wish to, but pls refrain from asking people I do not know to the shoot.

P.s2: I just asked my cousin who works as a lecturer in ITE, but it's not possible to get a classroom for a photoshoot on the wkends cuz they were armed. I wonder does anyone have any lobang for this?

P.s3: Lately I've been thking shd I go to JP for a shopping spree like say 3 to 5 days? But then come to thk of it, it seems rather pointless as most likely I shd be getting dresses which IMO is rather pointless...How many chances do I get to wear them? Yes yes, the buying part is happy, but when it comes to rationality it fails. You dun expect me to wear the dress and slap on makeup and report tat on the 1st day of work in Macau, do you? lol, the boss would just fall off the chair if he saw me '_'. ( I already got a suit for the job and I'm actually quite eager to wear it cuz I nvr wore one before, lol ) /shrugs if only I were in SG for 3 mths and I would go JP during the cosplay period say for 2 wks to a mth, I wanted to do some research and learn more abt the cosplay scene over there. oh well.

*sidenote: and I figured it might be awesome fun to go to their xdressing bar ( wonders are they what they are like as shown in manga? )

p.s4: I am pretty sure that with the kind of things that I have in mind over this week and probably next, time will fly fast and very soon I be gone again. Maybe I will try to get home leave for E.O.Y ( but then again I was wondering, is there a need? ) oh well, we'll see.

Gotta leave hse in an hr time or so, damn nd to go to arab st to look for lace. I only need like 5 to 10cm of it =_=.
