Binky, wtf?
My neighborhood is a mess.
A new neighbor just stopped by. He lives somewhere behind us, at least two houses away. They just bought the place and have a leak in their basement, so he needed to turn off the water coming into his house from the neighborhood well. He called the guy he bought the house from (who is our landlord) and was told that the water shut off valve for his house is... underneath our house.
So, he was asking if it would be okay for his crew to crawl under our house and shut the valve off. Of course I said sure, but geesh! Why is his water valve under our house?! That makes no sense whatsoever.
ETA: So now our water is shut off until they can get their leak fixed. At least this poor new neighbor is extremely apologetic about it all.
