Oh wow, this was amazing! I was so happy when I saw that the next part of Eridanos was out, I about died. Poor Kiley! I love the sparkly softness of the Faraway Land snapshots, and the love triangle that's going on with Kiley, Ripp, and Dustin has me with bated breath. I am automatically sympathetic to the gay kids so Ripp has a special place in my heart, but I feel just awful for sweet Kiley, who really is a princess. Her father's such a jerkoff and she's so strong for being able to say so determinedly sweet and resilient.

I liked MacKenzie and how she didn't seem to let social divides get in the way of making friends -- then again, people with privilege don't tend to see what people without privilege do. I felt Kenzie's seeming ignorance of the social divide between her and Kiley, who most assuredly was not ignorant, was a very real touch.

I also love how Kiley adds hearts to everything! ♥ And hoorah Mr Ambrose for encouraging Kiley to go to college. What an excellent educator and mentor. And what a wonderful update this was, very long and rich and well put together. Clearly one of the best Sim stories on LiveJournal. Great work, as ever!

Thank you thank you for the compliment and for not minding the length. I really like long posts, but I was afraid this was going a little overboard. ^^;; Thing was, though, that there was a lot I wanted to have happen before I cycle back around to Dustin's next entry (after Dominic's, but as of yet, Dominic's not affected by the main events in the story) so that's why it ended up running so long.

Ripp has a very special place in my heart too. He's my baby and I have grand plans for him character development-wise. When it comes right down to it, this story is about him. I'm not going to say anything about the triangle, though, even though I really want to, because I don't want to give too much away. ^_~ I can comment on Kenzie though - you're right, she is ignorant of the social divide between herself and the others, simply because she is the type of person who doesn't care about such things. That's partially thanks to her personality, but also due to the fact that she had advantages the others didn't and never -had- to care about those things. When I was thinking about her character, I didn't want her to be a cliche' rich girl snob. I think it would really surprise her to know that Kiley feels inadequate compared to her.

Thanks again! *hug!*
