[What's this? Samus doing a normal office log? Yeah pretty much.
She's been a little mopey lately and seeking PRIVATE TIME to work out this residual mope. So any time this week after class-hours you might find her holed up in her office or her classroom with the door slightly ajar, probably working on a huge piece of mechanical what-the-heck-is-

He passed Samus' office, only to hear noises coming from within. Noticing the door was cracked open, he decided to take a peek. But she sounded sort of busy so maybe he should've left her alone. Darn his curiosity.]

He entered the room, about to raise his hand only to remember the cookies. So he nodded instead.]
How are you doing today?

Are those...? [Staring at box action]

[Oh right. The cookies. He held them up for her to inspect.]
I was going to bring these to my office so people could have a snack if they wished. [A pause.] Would you like some?

I'll pass for now, thanks. Falcon will call me a fatty. Did you make them?

[Considering his last batch had almost lit the school's oven on fire, this time was an improvement. But he wasn't about to tell Samus that.
That was when Weavile noticed whatever the woman was tinkering with.]

[The schematics and materials went right over his head. Weavile was hardly knowledgeable when it came to mechanics and technology, particularly weaponry.
He let out a thoughtful hum.]
Well, regardless whether you dismantle it or not, it's still impressive that you know how to put together and take apart something like this. I'm still astounded by the level of technology that many of the other staff and students use and build on a day-to-day basis.

I suppose that makes sense. The fundamentals, as you said, may be the same, but I'm sure the actual process is different. To cook things over an open fire is different compared to using a stove or oven.

It's much easier than I thought it would be. I've gotten at least basic baked goods down. [He held up the cookies.] Took a few tries, though.

[Weavile is just. going to subtly leave one of those cookie containers. on Samus' desk.]
Perhaps I should try a more challenging recipe next time. Rather difficult to get better if you don't push yourself to your limits. I know you said you don't cook often, but do you have any suggestions or recommendations?

...Barbecue meat. Any kind. [Something she actually hasn't done in forever.] While the weather's still nice out.
