- In an attempt to be more active in the icon community again, I signed up for 2 icon battles.
Fandoms were OUAT and TWD. I kinda missed making twd icons, but

Andrea's death absolutely killed my twd graphics/icon mojo. I'm glad it seems to be back tho :D

As much as I still love the show, I miss her SO much. And I'm so bummed that she'll never get a chance to interact with Abraham or Tara or Aaron or any of the awesome characters to come.

Ugh, I know. Every time a new arc is introduced on the show, all I can think of is the comic's version, and what Andrea did in that particular arc.
I'm still mad that we didn't get Andrea in the prison, with the others. IT COULD HAVE BEEN SO GOOD!!! Instead we got more of the stupid govenor. :/

Yeeeah, I don't believe that either.
They could have easily started the "slowly turning evil" arc at the beginning of the season, build it up slowly, see how she drifts more and more... instead of doing it in the last 2 or 3 episodes.
Everything would have made more sense, too. This way it was way too rushed, and didn't make a lot of sense.

alas, the writers caved to fan complaints and just killed her off instead :(

I'll always have a problem with that. No matter which show, no matter which character. Fandom shouldn't have THAT much influence, imho.
Writers should do what they want to do, and not what the fans want them to do.
If fans got everything they wanted ... *shudders*

I hate that we'll never get to see some of the awesome things comic Andrea does on the show. I know they were different in so many ways, but I really think the first two seasons were building up to comic Andrea levels of badassery before they completed destroyed her arc with the season 3 crap. And the Governor stuff was just so unnecessary. If there was any character who didn't need to be seen in a "better" light, it was that guy. If they'd just let him be awful from the start, we could've avoided all of that nonsense and maybe Andrea would still be alive.

I mean, I do think the SH writers needed to listen to the fans to a certain extent because SO many things were wrong with season 2 and they needed to address that...BUT...I don't think killing Katrina was a necessary change. Sure, most of the fans hated her but maybe they wouldn't have hated her if the writers had actually DONE something with her. They could've kept her as a good guy and still made her interesting. Or they could've let her be a villain but let her live to terrorize everyone another day :)

I agree that writers shouldn't cave to the fans on everything, but if a real majority of the fans have SO many complaints, they should at least address a few of them.
