Once Upon a Time [2x15 The Queen is dead (and before) - mostly Regina ramblings] I have so many issues with the way they're portraying Regina right now. Remember her two flashback episodes, and how much she hated her mother? Yes? Well, seems like the writers forgot all about that.
The woman kills her daughter's boyfriend in front of her, forces her to marry a guy she doesn't love, abuses her with magic to turn her into a "pretty pretty princess", never says a nice thing to her... She's the woman Regina hates with a passion...
but when it comes to Regina hiring Hook to kill her, Regina tells her that she's the one person she loves the most, and who is her weakness, and that this is the reason why she had her killed... ARE YOU KIDDING ME? WHAT IS THIS? UGH.
Then there's this week's episode, the big reveal that she killed snow's mother so that Regina could become queen, in front of snow AND regina... but do we get a reaction out of Regina during that scene? NOPE. a fleeting glance towards her mother, and then it's back to business... Even the confrontation afterwards was ... IDEK, not big enough. There were no emotions, nothing, just "oh, you did that? why did you never tell me?" ASGDKJSADGKJSADFKJDSA; because she always told you everything, and treated you with respect, clearly.
Don't even get me started on Johanna, who was clearly only introduced as a plot device, and to be killed asap...
I'm kinda hoping that Regina is going to kill Cora, not Snow, but seeing how they never do the right thing with Regina... it's probably not going to happen.
Also, on a random note, does anyone remember how Regina told Henry that the townies asked her to move out of the mayor's office (so... basically out of her house, because the office is IN her house?), and we saw her packing some stuff... but now she's still living in that house... still using that office... unless there's an exact replica of it. What has happened there? (I know, I know, another plothole the writers thought no one would notice, but it bothered me ever since, because I was looking forward to seeing where she's going to live next... only that ... whoops, nothing has changed!!!)
The Walking Dead [3x12 Clear] What was that? It looks like I'm in the minority here, because twd fandom seemed to have loved this episode, but for me it was boring and pointless. Not exactly bad, but not doing anything for the story (or me) either.
Also, would Rick, together with Michonne, one of the more capable zombie killers, really leave the group shortly after the govenor attacked the prison? I'd imagine going back to his home town would be a long trip, so I don't know what to think about this...
also? Really Rick? You trust the crazy guy, who turned the whole town into a zombie trap and who is trying to kill you, more than Andrea, who came willingly to the prison, and didn't show any sign of crazy? *lol* I get that they're wary of her, but come on, she was part of their group once... Now she doesn't belong to the prison or woodbury anymore, great.
There are things I loved about this episode, I'm glad there was some character development. They finally made Michonne more likeable, and I liked Michonne's and Rick's little bonding over seeing things/talking to dead people.
But I don't think you wouldn't be able to follow the show anymore if you had missed this week's episode, which makes it a filler to me...
In the past couple days I've been re-watching Parks and Recreation (S3 and upwards), and it's still as delightful and fun on second watch :D
Also? I can't recommend watching the "The Americans" pilot at 3am. It's what prompted the P & R rewatch, because I needed something "fluffy" before going to bed.
