Ultimate Freedom

I did something today I said I'd never do. I went skydiving. I went with Zack, Florian, and Nick out to Snohomish. It was on a total whim but I'm SO glad I did it. It was amazing! Surprisingly, I wasn't nervous at all. That is, until my feet were dangling out of the plane. But it was only for a split second, because before I could answer the instructors question of "Are you ready?" we were already outside the airplane and falling. I'm pretty sure he did that to distract me. Oh well, it worked. I am so incredibly proud of myself for doing it. Holy cow. It's one of those things that looks MUCH worse than it is. Although you get an incredible rush, there's actually a kind of peace about it. Just sailing around like you're on top of the world. You seem to lose all the cares and worries in your life, if only for a few minutes. I felt so free. Like you're actually dreaming. I was mesmorized by the beauty of everything: the mountains, the plains, the Puget Sound off in the background. You could even see Seattle. It looked so small and peaceful. Then before I knew it, it was almost done and I came back to reality.

I want to do it again some day. I even have some discount cards for friends who want to go with me. =)

I am still so energized from it.
