Wow, starting off the new year with an eye infection is just peachy. /sarcasm Apparently something blew in last week and I got some grit in my eye under my contact. When I rinsed my eye out, I neglected to clean the contact itself, especially since just putting some drops in cured the gritty feeling. Cue infection! I told my doctor that I always put clean solution in my case and I clean my lenses twice daily (before putting in and then after taking them out for the night) but she said that even with that, the damage had been done. Luckily, it looks worse than it really is, because I'm sporting the Eye of Sauron at the moment. She gave me a prescription for some antibiotic steroid drops and everything should clear up by Monday or Wednesday.
Unfortunately, this means no contacts until Wednesday. I hate my glasses. The lenses themselves are about two or three prescriptions old, so while I can still see clearly enough, everything is just a tad bit blurry. Driving is interesting, especially since my depth perception is shot to hell at the moment. Driving from her office was exceptionally fun because she had put drops in my eyes to check for other potential serious issues (like having her say I have a tiny ulcer in my eye isn't serious enough, right?)
I was thisclose to asking her if I could wear my left contact and then just put on an eyepatch. It'd be an awesome pirate and/or Calisto cosplay.
So while my vision is wonky, I'm setting aside the "need all my reflexes a-ok" games and going back to the level grinding sort that don't need a lot of observation effort. And I made a list of all the ones that I have to finish before I can start up a new game, and woah, I did not realize it was that long.
Ze list:
Persona 3
Persona 4
Fable
Fable 2
Fable 3
FFX
FFX-2
FFXII
FFXIII
Assassin's Creed
AC 2
AC Brotherhood
AC 3
Dragon Age (my Theodora playthrough)
DA: Awakening
DA 2
Lost Odyssey
Tales of Vesperia
Skyrim
Fallout 3
Fallout: New Vegas
The Walking Dead (season one)
Dishonored
And I probably have some other games in-progress that I downloaded, but let's just stop right there. I didn't put in Assassin's Creed: Revelations because I haven't played that one yet, so it goes in the no new games until ze list is kaput file. 2014 looks to be the Year of Gaming, because there's no way that I'm going to get all those done in three months. Just picking through the pile, I think I'm going to start with FFX. If I remember correctly, I stopped on the Highroad and I was grinding out some ability spheres on the older portion of the road so I could unlock some badass magical abilities for Yuna and Lulu earlier than I usually get them unlocked.
In other news, I lifted on Thursday after a 2-month break. Even with knocking my weight down to nearly beginning weight, I am SORE. 40 lb. squats left me walking funny on Friday and my legs are still sore today. Easing back into the Mon, Wed, Fri, so at least I have today and tomorrow to recover.
