The ankle situation is feeling a tad bit better. I did day 1 of a gym restart which involved six miles on the stationary bike in thirity minutes and a fifteen minute sit in the sauna. I'm also starting a 30 day squat challenge and a 30 day push-up challenge. You start off with 50 squats and 30 push-ups (I'm a weenie: all push-ups are done standing and using the countertop) and then add 5 more each day, resting every fourth day. We’ll see how that goes. And if I can find my jump drive, I’ll post however many squats/push-ups you’re supposed to end up with on Day 30.
The juice meal-replacement is going great. For $100, I’ve gotten enough veggies and fruits to make it through 2 weeks. Last week was good: I was expecting to go through the same sick feelings/headaches that everyone else had been complaining about, but never got them. In fact, I’ve lost five of the six pounds I had gained during the month of April when I skipped the gym. I have more energy and the completely drained and needing a nap feeling hasn’t reared its ugly head, which I’m grateful for. It was getting so bad that I told my doctor and she had me do some bloodwork to see if everything was working the way that it should. I should get the results back sometime this week, but I’m hoping that there’s nothing out of the ordinary to report.
Nothing else new, except that I’ve been hooked on Fallout 3. Guys, why didn’t anyone tell me it was basically a post-apocalyptic Skyrim? I looked at the clock on Saturday and realized that I had been playing for nearly six hours straight, which is something I haven’t done in a long time. The only reason I’m not playing now is because I’m stuck and need to look up how to get past this one section.
And now Izzy is trying to sit on my keyboard, which means it’s time to set everything aside and give her my full attention. She tends to start walking all over me if I don’t and she’s already circling the bed and giving me the look that says if I don’t give out scritches soon, she’ll start knocking things off the nightstand.
