1. Productive workday - I'm on the "S" tap cards now.
2. Scanner at work is making funny noises. I think it's begging me to put it out if its misery with my letter opener.
3. Three of my co-workers and I are starting to count calories and keep each other on track.
4. This may put a stop to any baking that I suddenly have a constant urge to do.
5. I have discovered a potential way to proof bread in my microwave.
6. I have no time this week to bake any bread, so I must put "OMG BAKE BAKE BAKE!" urge on hold.
7. The book of patterns I ordered last month is here!
8. I had it shipped to my parents' house because I don't trust leaving anything at my apartment doorstep, so I'm probably not going to pick it up until this weekend.
9. The neighbors are fighting AGAIN. I'm in my living room and I can't exactly hear what he's shouting (for a change) but he's been yelling for about ten minutes straight now.
10. I got me a copy of Assassin's Creed (even though people are saying the first one is buggy as all get out, I still want to start a series from the beginning) and hopefully the sound of me stabbing pixelated people in the face will drown out the noise.
The calorie count thing is interesting. I've kept a food journal before for Weight Watchers, but I was only interested in the points system instead of actual calories. I've found out a few things:
A. I'm allowed a little over 2,000 calories per day
B. I haven't gone over 1,000 calories in the past two days (we started this yesterday) Today totaled out at 770.
C. I drink plenty of water (gotta track that too.) One of my big glasses is 3 8-oz portions and I normally have 3 or 4 refills, not counting the one or two cups of tea I have during the day.
D. Tea is calorie free. As is Splenda. The only thing is that the blob of honey I add is 35 calories, and even then, I don't use the 1/2 tablespoon serving size it calls for.
E. I need to start eating breakfast. This means I need to start waking up earlier.
F. I need to start eating, period. During the day I'm not hungry, or if I get hungry, I drink water and I'm fine. I eat dinner as soon as I get home and then spend the rest of the night doing something so I'm not thinking of food. If I get hungry later on, I make a mug of tea.
G. If all this is going on, why the heck have I gained weight instead of losing it? Body, why u no work right? I need to go back to the gym, but I've decided that I'm going to do the cheap out: 10 laps around the building during lunch = 1 mile. Even if I do five times around the building, it adds up. I'm also pretending that unless I have something that I can't carry down the stairs with me, that the elevator is broken. Since we've moved up here, I think I've used that more than the stairs, even when I'm just going down to the mail room. I've decided to try that SlimQuick powder you put in your water twice a day to see what that does. I've read reviews for it saying that it helped people shed x amount of pounds and I've read reviews for it saying that it did nothing but give people added energy. I figured either way that it's a win - I've been really sluggish lately so that even if it does nothing in the weight loss department, I can use the extra boost.
The 365 project is back on schedule. I haven't missed a day since I picked it back up, but I do need to download and post what I've taken so far. But that can wait until later. Now, I have some sneaky, stealthy assassin-y stuff to do.
