Hat #1 is finished. I should get started on Hat #2, but instead I'm doing some very brief research on eastern coastal towns with a population less than 500 people and seaside cottage floor plans. I don't even have main character names yet, but I'm very much in love with the imaginary town and the house that most of the story is going to be taking place in. I'm taking a very low-stress approach to this month instead of doing a tightly structured "you must be at this wordcount" daily deadline because I've got enough of those going on at the moment. This year I feel like having anything more than the 50K/30 day deadline on something like this sort of takes the fun out of it for me.
I have the day off tomorrow! I'm planning on sleeping in, getting some laundry put away and my apartment straightened up, and helping out with Mom's crochet club after school. I made a huge pan of pasta and meat sauce this evening that I can heat up for lunch and/or dinner. I think I'm going to start up Hat #2 in between helping out kiddos learn to crochet.
