Finishing up the 30 Days of Fanfiction Meme, Day 30:
30 - Do you have a favorite fic you've written? What makes it your favorite? And don't forget to give us a link!
I don't know if I can say that I have a favorite story out of all the stories that I've ever done, but I'll go with the different fandoms I've written that have more than one story from Day #2:
Avatar: Of Girls and Tea
Dragon Age: Since this one is organized into mostly pairings, I'll post my favorite for each. Anders/Thea Amell: As Fast As My Feet Can Fly, Fenris/Vivian Hawke: Kindred Spirits, Ser Gilmore/Deidre Cousland: Lost and Found, Sebastian/Elsa Hawke: In Sickness and in Health (1/3), Nathaniel/Moira Cousland: tie between A Rush to the Start, Chapter 8 and Four and Twenty Blackbirds. Honorable mention for the entire Cousland Family because they are made of win: Family Ties.
FFX/X-2:Desert Blues, Gippal's Version and Rikku's Version
FFXII: Another tough one. Between the Balthier/Ashe fics: Pirate Queen in Training, Basch related stuff: tie between Cracked Masks and 5 things untitled Basch fic
X-Men: I can't decide, but pretty much EVERYTHING with the Character: Victor tag.
as for what makes them my favorites, I can't really say - I just really liked how they came out. The most common thing between them all is the way characters interact with the other, be they friends, lovers, or in the case of Victor/Raven, people who flip-flop on wanting to either sleep together or kill one another. I've always liked writing things that show how much people care for one another, even if they have different ways of showing it.
I just finished the second baby blanket and I think for the third I'm going to do a patchwork style sampler blanket where I make a bunch of squares concentrating on one knitting technique per square. It should turn out pretty neat. I'm doing it all in a soft lavender color so that each texture stands out on its own. Writing-wise, Sebastian/Elsa has taken over my brain. I'm more than likely going to take down the stuff I have for them on ff.net and re-post it all as one story because everything is starting to make a certain timeline in my head. I also got hit with a quick Aveline/Donnic story that I wrote this evening. If it weren't so close to midnight, I would post, but I've got to start waking up earlier than what I've been doing. Way too many late nights recently.
