(no subject)
Okay, so the menu has changed a bit, mostly because Issa neglected to CHECK THE DAMN FRIDGE before going to the store. *grumps* I even had to make a return trip in order to get something for the rum cake and then almost left before I had gotten it. Sheesh.
We will NOT be having puff pastry pinwheels OR fresh homemade bread. Quick save: smoked turkey and gryure crescent rolls instead. Mom is coming over early and bringing me her roasting pan, which I kinda need in order to actually cook the ham. *facepalm*
Dinner = I fail at planning. The good news is that the rum cake is baked and smells delicious (and I put way too much rum in the icing/glaze and doing taste tests has left me a bit tipsy) and if reconnoiterer doesn't mind me doing a spin-off of her Cooking With Chris series, I took a few pictures on how I made it that I can post tomorrow.
