FP very kindly snuggled up, all nice and warm, to me last night, and I slept hard; though, it still doesn't feel like quite enough. IP still sleepy, but my attitude has improved a little in that I don't feel quite so much like I want to lop the head off of every other person who walks through the door.
Mom and Dad called me just before I left work yesterday, asking if they could please come see us for dinner tonight. Seemed kinda strange to me, and I wondered if there was something big they had to tell me (I've always secretly wished for a little sister...lol), but it turns out they're just missing me a lot (awwww...they are so sweet!), so they're gonna pick me up from work this afternoon whilst (such a nice word, "whilst") FP gets his comic book fix (Wednesday is comic book day...always). Then we'll meet up at the apartment and decide where we're gonna go for supper. I had planned eggplant parmesan for tonight, but maybe I'll get some nice salmon wherever we go...
Incidentally,
jchammonds, did you ever try your baked eggplant recipe? I've been wondering how that turned out.
The baby blanket is coming along nicely, as I am *this close* to finishing it. I've been working hard on it so I can start working on that funky, cool pom pom rug. I was weak, and I just HAD to try starting one of those grocery bag totes I told you about (like
this), and it's kinda cool looking, if tedious. The cool part is that it feels squishy and weird when you crochet it up, and the colors from the fonts on different bags swirl together in fun ways (Hobby Lobby bags are good for this--orange, yellow, and purple). The tedious part is where you have to cut the grocery bag into one loooong strip (like yarn) before you can start the crocheting. I'm not sure it'll hold anything very heavy once it's finished, but I think it'll be one of those things that's just fun to do and have for the novelty of it.
Alright, I've got to go to a meeting about our alumni newsletter here shortly. It's that time of year again...
