For the first time in my life, I find myself rooting for a particular team to win the World Series. Apparently Game 6 of the Series, originally scheduled for tonight, was canceled due to rain, which bumps the potential Game 7, originally scheduled for tomorrow, to Friday. Hurrah! I got a response from my prof about my planned paper topic. I can go ahead and write it. She agreed that the section I had planned on dance in 30s movie musicals might be a stretch, and that the material might work better as a gesture in the conclusion, but said to give it a shot anyway(!!!). You know how "text" has become the de facto short form of "text message"? EVERY TIME I see it used in a sentence, I think "literary text." Which is what leads me to incidents like reading number six on this list, and spending several seconds wondering if Chris Pine is a fan of D.H. Lawrence or something.

By way of wintercreek, Zotero came to my indexing rescue! If it's possible to be in love with a piece of software, I think this is it for me. I can enter separate poems and books and articles and TAG THEM! I've got about thirty Boland poems in there right now, and fifteen or so tags. My 102 class is reading the current issue of Us Weekly for Monday's class (A is doing a few classes on celebrity hero-worship), so I had to read it as well. I...huh.
