This needs to happen somehow on my TV. (Dunno who the guy in the picture is, but Dana Delany and Mary McDonnell sharing a scene needs to happen. Also, is it just me, or do they resemble each other to the point where they could easily play sisters?)

Questions from pezprez:

1. What's YOUR favorite SF/F trope? Cause now I have to ask.

Huge, galaxy-spanning political dramas. Heh, there's a reason Babylon 5 and BSG are my favorite SF series. I also like really super alien aliens, with well-developed cultures/biologies/religions/governments/whatever, and if they can be combined with galaxy-spanning political plots, all the better.

2. Who (real life or character) do you most want to stab in the face.

Byron from Babylon 5. No one ever sucked the awesome out of a show quite like he did.

3. If you could change one thing about yourself it would be...?

More ability to get things done. I give myself deadlines and quotas (apply to X number of jobs this week; clean my bathroom by X day) and blow right past them because apparently the only way I get something I don't want to do done is when I have outside accountability in the form of a boss, a professor, or even just someone I said I'd do something for. If I could meet my own deadlines for unpleasant tasks, I would be so much happier.

4. What do you think most people misunderstand about you?

I honestly have no idea how to answer this question, because I can't think of anything people consistently misunderstand about me. I think I'm very what you see is what you get.

5. What TV show would you most like to write for, give the opportunity?

If it has to be a currently-running show, then Fringe hands down, as I have no interest in writing mysteries and yet every other current show I watch seems to revolve around them. (One day we will come to the end of crime show dominance, yes?) If it can be any show ever, then Northern Exposure, because a show where I can write about quirky people in a place where fantastic/magical realistic things happen, can get really obsessive about tying all my subplots together with common themes, and season everything with literary/mythological/philosophical allusions?
