Pushing Daisies 2.4: "Frescorts"

Oct 23, 2008 12:06

So this appears to be the episode learns some well-needed hard truths, eh? I approve. Especially of Ned's. The man definitely needs to learn how to be alone with himself without being all emo. (And he gets a creepy almost-friendship! And holds a party for social outcasts!)

I also approve of Chuck and Olive as roommates. They are so cute! I love the secret handshake. (Please tell me femslash is being written?)

- The title sounds like a grocery store delivery service or something.

- Baby Emerson! And he wears awful shirts even as a kid. Naturally.

- "Add on an eyepatch and Calista could be Lily." Mmm, knife-twisting.

- Re: the dental dam joke: I remain amazed at what this show gets away with in its time slot.

- Mmmm, formaldehyde fountains.

- Buddy Amicus. Heh.

- Ned getting hugged by the hug machine was simultaneously the most pathetic and most adorable thing ever.

- Chuck's outfits were awesome this time around--I liked the white dress with the roses and the poofy red dress. They need to stay with the 50s retro clothes and stop trying to put her in 60s or 70s gear.

- *eyes bug out at ending* I...um. That'll require a lot of saran wrap to accomplish what I think they're thinking of doing in that situation.

I hear the show is still doing poorly, ratings-wise. The silver lining is that few shows are really doing well. *crosses fingers for a full season*
