Sounds like we had much the same weekend!

Babysitter Steve is a YES! He found his niche, didn't he? Who would have guessed.

If the British actor who plays Johnathan has screwed himself by trying to smuggle cocaine into the country he may not be allowed in again.

I wanted to like Max. If there had been more of her and none of her sleazy, boring brother I would have been pleased.

Joyce grew up this year, didn't she? Wow, she took off when it came time to push the limits and save her sons.

It was also great to see The Chief come alive, too. Both he and Joyce are gaining themselves back after some hard life situations.

They did a great job with Sean Astin. Once he was onscreen I figured he'd be a very good guy or a very bad guy. One does not take Samwise Gamgee/The Goonies star into a series that is an ode to 80's characters and nerd culture without making him count. That he turned out to be an unequivocal good guy hero was a beautiful thing. Like you, at that point knew he was not getting out of that building alive.

I preferred the actors being together, too. They were strong for their unity. Plus more Mike and El! They had been through so much and I wanted to see them more.

Paul Reiser was another ringer. After his turn in Aliens 2 as a rotten to the core company man they let us see he was still a company narc so his change of heart was wonderful. We got two excellent nerd culture guys who got to strut their stuff.

I only knew Paul Reiser from Mad About You, so I thought they were just trying to cast him against type. I really liked that he turned out to be a good guy in the end. I would never have thought!

Ugh, Charlie Heaton, why you gotta be dumb?
