Good Morning!

Dec 02, 2004 09:43

Well it has been awhile since I updated so here I am doing that. Today is Thursday though it seems like a Friday to me (and God knows I wish it was). Our teacher Melissa isn't here today or tomorrow b/c it is her birthday, and she is taking off. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MELISSA! Hope you have a good one! Anyway, you would think we would be happy to have a teacher gone but Melissa is a favorite and her being gone doesn't make the day good. Now, others like a Multimedia teacher, can be very good. Yea we all know who I am talking about and the one day he is gone (Monday), I am out b/c I was sick the night before. Just my luck huh?

So Barry went hunting this week and I was not too happy about that.I hate being alone in a house and I am so bad about the dark. He left Monday evening and WAS supposed to return home last night (Wednesday) but the dick lied to me and decided to stay another day! The only reason for that is because it rained all day and he didn't go on Wednesday. Uhh it sucked so bad to be home alone for these days. I mean, I have no money and no where to go. He is supposed to return home by 4-4:30 today so if he isnt home by then, he is in deep shit.

This week does seem slightly less stressful b/c alot of our projects aren't due till next week, but honestly, I will really need to get my ass moving to get my shit done. I have most of my booklet done for Melissa's class but I still need to think up a folder. As for my Multimedia class, I need to do a resort CD, which I am basing off my resort in Melissa's class. I am defintiely not so excited for this CD project but ya gotta do what ya gotta do! Gottschall said he is going to try to get our grades to us today. I hope I get my at the least. I dont care about everyone else, I need to know how well I have to do on these next projects to keep my grades up.

Web class is going to suck so bad. Yesterday it went horrible b/c Mr. Evans kept screwing up the code we had to do to make our program work. It was such a long class. And my internet hasnt been working lately down there so I don't know what is up with that. I really do need to catch up in his class. I think I am far behind. Katy is also where I am at. Well she is always behind because all she does is CHAT to those who are not-so worth chatting to. Her and I need to catch up but I dont know when. Maybe I will try on the weekend but I doubt that.

I spoke to Emily about this accident back in good 'ol Schulykill County. from what I gathered, A 16 yr. old was driving a pickup truck with some kids in the bed. They were on their way to a bush party. Well the kid driving was drunk already and crashed into a tree. 2 of the kids that were in the bed, I knew. They were Tony and Nick Mercuri. I was in class with Tony and graduated with him. He is a really sweet guy and an awesome artist. Emily said he is at home and isnt well wnough to return to school. As for Nick, Tony's older brother, people are saying he might not make it. That is pretty sad. All of this shit over a bush party? GOD PEOPLE, if you are going to drink underage, then do it smart.. and dont trust your life in others hands. Alcohol is not that damn important to kill yourself or your friends. I am glad I am not a fuckin loser like that. Not saying I havent had alcohol as an underage person but I do not depend on it to help me get through life like some people. Well All I can say is, Nicks, we are thinking about you and hope you are strong enough to make it! And Tony, get well and be smart next time!

*** EDIT ****
I just read the article on the website for this crash. Here is what it said:

A 20-year-old Pottsville man was flown to a trauma center with injuries he suffered after being thrown from the back of a pickup truck after it crashed on private property in Norwegian Township, police said.

Two other passengers suffered less severe injuries, according to state police at Schuylkill Haven.

Police said Dominic Mercuri was riding in the bed of a red pickup truck driven by a 17-year-old Pottsville juvenile around 10:20 p.m. Friday when the vehicle struck a tree on a private road, 1½ miles west of Heritage Heights.

Mercuri was flown to Lehigh Valley Hospital near Allentown in its MedEvac helicopter, and admitted to the hospital with serious injuries, police said.

Another passenger riding in the truck bed, Antonio Mercuri, 19, also of Pottsville, was taken to a Pottsville area hospital with less severe injuries, while two other people riding in the truck bed, Adam Hampford, 20, and Brian Kissinger, 20, both of Pottsville, were not hurt, police said. A passenger in the passenger's side back seat, Daniel Quirk, 18, of Pottsville, suffered minor injuries, according to police.

The driver and two other passengers, 17-year-old Pottsville juveniles in the front passenger's seat and the driver's side back seat, were not hurt, police said.

Since the accident happened on private property, police had few details, but did say the driver was operating the vehicle when he lost control and slammed into a tree. Witnesses at the scene said at least one of the people in the truck bed was ejected but police could not confirm or deny that.

Police said four-wheel-drive vehicles were used to transport emergency personnel to and from the crash site.

Pottsville EMS treated the victims and Seltzer and Pottsville firefighters assisted both at the crash site and in setting up a landing zone for the medical helicopter.

---I can't believe this! Damn I know alot of these people!---

*** EDIT DONE ***

Speaking of wishing people well, Emily's step dad, Jim, is suffereing from cancer and he is slowly getting treatment. Eventhough he and I didn't always get along, he is still not horrible enough of a person for me to wish him dead.. so of course, especially since I am so close to that family, I hope Mommy Girl Scout and all those who love him so much will be strong and help him get through this hard time!

Ok so I guess I am going to get going. I need to get some work done in Multimedia class. I will update again when I can.
