*It's been noticably quieter since Demolishor left, especially at night. Of course, there's been incidents of the zambonis chanting 'Spartacus' at the top of their little voiceboxes for an hour every now and again, but Snowcat usually kicks them out into the hallway to let someone else deal with them ( Read more... )

*A rather nervous Auspex approaches the door to Snowcat and Demolishor's quarters. It hasn't been very long since Auspex's somewhat disturbing encounter with the human that gave her the message she is delivering; she wanted to get it to Snowcat as soon as possible. She is, however, somewhat afraid to talk to him here... especially if he chooses to bring up his grudge against her. But... it seemed to be slightly more respectful to give him this news here, instead of in the Nexus, where there is so very many people about*

*She pushes the control that alerts the resident to visitors... nothing happens. Several more tries yields the same results. With a little sigh, she reaches up to knock on the door, with a few metallic clinks.*

Snowcat? Are you here?

*Someone can be heard moving around slowly inside the room* Whaddya want, priestess? Cause unless you got Megatron at gunpoint or a tray of drinks, I'm not interested.

*Auspex takes a moment to pray... that he won't be too angry at her for bringing this up... that he will believe her, for Demolishor's sake, if nothing else. Finally, she answers.*

I... have a message for you, from a human I met in the Nexus. It.. seems to be from Demolishor..

*she braces herself*

*There is a momentary pause before the door bursts open.

Not slides open, no, Snowcat simply rams his way through the door, rending and tearing metal in his rage before he slams Auspex up against the wall, pinning her as best he can given his short stature. His voice is a fierce crazed hiss, as if his weak grip on his sanity had given out an evil cackle and leaped off into the void*

Where is he?!

*Whatever reaction Auspex was expecting... that wasn't it.*

*With a startled cry, she ducks back, hands up to protect her head from flying metal, before she finds herself abruptly... much closer to the wall than before. Rather uncomfortably close -- read: trapped against it. She stares down the few feet of distance between her and Snowcat, optics wide, bright, and definitely frightened. It takes her a few moments to find her voice again, and it trembles as much as she is*

He's... in a human world. If what's happened to him is what I think it is... he is human. *she pauses again, for Primus's calm, to continue in an only marginally less terrified tone*

It's... there's a written note. It's Cybertron... but the writing's too small for Demolishor's hand, as a Transformer. It said he was getting foggy... the human who brought it can't remember anything but the last one or two months of his life. I'll... give you the note, if you let me go long enough to pull it from subspace...

Snowcat, snarling, only reluctantly peels himself away from Auspex. He's got a few energon stains/crumbs on him, as if he hasn't really had his mind on things lately. Which he hasn't, since he's been lacking an outlet for his usual enthusiasm and energy.

"Gimme." The Decepticon sticks his hand out, his entire mask glowing dimly from the glare of his optics. "And this better not be a trick."

*she doesn't move much, as one is still, around a wild animal. Her optics narrow slightly; however, considering their wide, shocked state, this isn't much of a change. Her voice isn't much above a whisper* That would be a cruel joke. I am not cruel, Snowcat. *The packet Denny gave her materializes in her hand, and she offers it to him* I came because the man -- he called himself 'Denny' -- thought you should have it. I think it's him, Snowcat.

"If you turn out to be lying, or he does, I'll fragging redefine the word 'cruel'." He grabs the packet out of her hand, nearly ripping it in his haste and anger as he scrambles to open it.

There's a long, tense silence as Snowcat goes through the tiny papers. He scrutinizes each one slowly, as if trying to find a meaning beyond the crude symbols and stuttering dialogue.

*She still hasn't moved much, still leaning on the wall, voice soft* I don't think he could be lying. How many humans know Cybertron, besides? He said he found it in his desk, and he lives alone, no one has visited... he has no idea how it got there. I asked him if he was human, when he first arrived -- it's hard to tell, in the Nexus, as you know -- and he didn't really even know.

He doesn't remember Transformers, he doesn't know about LOLs, he barely knew anything about the Nexus, other than how to get there... he doesn't remember anything about himself, either. But, he took an extreme amount of care with those papers; he knew they were important, he just didn't know why. He said he'd visit the Nexus periodically, so he isn't gone... but he doesn't believe that he's anything but a human with amnesia. I tried to tell him, Snowcat... *she sighs shakily, optics downcast*

"Slag that, no one would believe you if they had a decent mind in their head." Snowcat shuffles the papers about, still looking for a hidden pattern. "Why didn't you just pick him up and bring him here? He could die of cancer or something by the time we see him again, humans don't live that long, you know."

*Auspex remains silent, not acknowledging his first comment. It will take time, and patience, for that opinion to change, if ever. Not that it makes it any easier to hear..*

*she shakes her head* It's hard to think clearly when you suddenly realize that a stranger you've met is actually someone you know... and an entirely different creature, without his memory! I was upset to see him like that, and he was so concerned with getting those papers to you...

Besides, I refuse to do anything to further anger him, should he recall this when he is his usual self again. I've interfered with his intentions enough already, as I think you would agree. If he wanted to come, he would have asked. I would not forcibly bring him here.

"If he wrote them, how come he doesn't remember it?"

Snowcat stops and points to a specific word. 'Foggy. It keeps saying here that he's foggy. Did that Denny guy say anything about foggy?" He seems more curious than angry right now.

It's frustrating... an organic brain is structured so differently from ours. It... could make sense, if this happened to him, that he would lose a good deal of what he knew, or at least the programs required for his mind to access all of it. And, given how rough the pages are... he may not even have been conscious when he wrote them. Cybertronians sometimes do strange things in recharge that they can't recall; I don't see why humans couldn't.

He didn't say anything about fog, per se, no. I don't know if he remembers it, now...

"Worked fine when everyone else got turned human..." He turns the pages upside down, reading the other parts.

"Demolishor wandered into some weird fog a while ago, before he disappeared. Said it gave him chills."

Snowcat's finger taps against his mask. "That and he made weird noises while he recharged. Y'know, bad dream noises. You think the fog screwed with his head?"

*She shrugs slightly, starting to relax just a little, now that she's not actively being flattened against a wall* I do think I recall some of the ones that were changed by that Machine complained that their minds weren't as fast or efficient as they were before. Perhaps it depends on how it was done..?

*her optics widen again* He told you of a fog? And nightmares... What exactly did he tell you? It gave him chills... did he see anything?

Snowcat shrugged aimlessly, looking almost guilty now. "We didn't talk about it. Decepticons, you know? Figured it would clear up on its own. Then he just...poof, gone." He tucked the papers together, trying to stack them properly.
