I went to San Francisco for a week
Highlights:
-the city
-sailing and almost tipping the boat (at least *I* thought it almost tipped)
-Santa Cruz and the Boardwalk (apparently where most of "The Lost Boys" takes place at)
-lots of "fog" (70% of the time it looks like eerie clouds)
-listening to new KoRn album
-Castro street (I finally get the joke from the trillion dollar bill Simpsons episode...)
-Haight street (lots of freaks, and a homeless guy with a dancing twist tie skeleton)
-Baby pictures of Farrell and pictures of her mom in her 20s...oh man
-visiting Stanford
-GG bridge
-hiking and swimming in scary waves with jellyfish
-seals!!!
-incoming flight being delayed, outgoing flight being cancelled
Other stuff:
On the way down to Santa Cruz, there's a stretch of road called "Highway 17". Reference anyone? Well, before we left Farrell's mom told us to be extremely careful because that road is treacherous. I promptly responded "As long as we stay close to the thumpers and the Antlions don't get into a frenzy, we should make it to Nova Prospekt just fine." Well I didn't really say that but I was thinking it.
Anyhow, Highway 17 was a lot like the HL2 one...it follows the coast with cliffs and whatnot.
