In response to myself, I'm not sure one can maintain such piety toward people forever.
It might be something of an UNSTABLE equilibrium point (oooh - science!) in which a small perturbation sends you spiraling into a hateful fit of fuming anger. It really REALLY feels like your blood is bubbling with stinging heat, and you want to grab someone and lift them off the ground as their body is consumed in the flames of your own self hate.
Sauron really did hate everyone and everything. I wonder why. Melkor corrupted him. So why did MELKOR hate everyone? He sought greatness in Middle-Earth by changing its music to suit himself, but Illuvatar twisted his dischord into beautiful counterpoint.
One ill turn deserves another.
I will let fate and fortune take care of revenge.
