Morning commute

Just a few tips for my fellow drivers here in the states, Texas in particular:

  • Please do NOT come to a full stop to merge onto the freeway. This should be fairly simple. This morning I slowed down for people to merge on (I love plenty of room between me and the person in front of me, so this is usually not a problem.) However, you must use the vertical petal on the RIGHT to merge with traffic, unless it's bumper-to-bumper. Not when I'm giving you 80 feet(no exaggeration, I like plenty of decision room) to merge in and get up to speed.
  • When approaching a stop light, please do not think this means go if nothing is in the intersection yet. I once saw someone try to T section a bus because...well the only thing to think about people T-boning a bus when their light has been red for at least 10 seconds is moron. Actually, less-on would be more like it. Do us a favor and remove yourselves from the gene pool if you have or tried to T section a bus.
  • You're coming up to a stop light/sign. There are three white lines on the road. What can these great mysterious lines mean? Wait, the first must be where you start to break, the second where you should really try, and the third is where your front tires must rest at the stop, right? Right? WRONG!
The first line is the *stop* line. Meaning when you come to a stop, you should be able to see it in front of you. Not behind your rear tires. Those other two....those are the cross walk. It's for pedestrians. No, not to line them up for us, Deathrace 2000 was just a fictional movie. So please stop trying to run over people in the cross walks.

Sorry, just a lil fed up...
But for the rest of Texas drivers, those of us who at least try to follow the laws (the ones about not killing people with our cars at least) thank you.
