Interesting times....
Well, tis Sunday the 30th, late evening. I got back from Las Vegas this morning. Early last week, my father and little brother went hunting in Colorado. Weds I met up with them in Las Vegas for a short vacation. Las Vegas is an interesting town in itself. Glitz, glamour, lights, bells, whistles... All seem to work to haze the mind, a plan to seperate you from your money. But to me, it seemed just too fake. A lot like a really bad boob job. Take something, that can be quite enjoyable to explore, and then try to augment it into something that becomes... too much. Speaking of which... sigh, it's going to be odd for a guy to say this, but too much cheap porn. I was walking down the street, and some guys were on the corner, handing out, I guess porno trading cards would be the best description. That's what it was, just little cards, of porn. Not to my taste, that's just a bit too tacky, even for me. My father however, has no such taste. The guy's 13... He couldnt manage to walk by without stopping to look. *Sigh* Ah well, the overall feel of the city remained, overdone. I saw a magic show when I was there, was ok. "Fox's Magic Secrets Revealed" series takes a bit of fun out of the show. Also watched 2 movies while there, and did some shopping. Lord of the Rings was a killer movie. But then again, I liked that series of books anyways, and tis in my fav genre of books. The sort of medievel fantasy. Dragons, knights, magic, monsters, wizards, elves, goblins, etc. My kind of books. The other movie was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. NOt half bad actually. It still feels a bit young I guess, not quite to my tastes. Then went shopping for my friends. ended up getting some shirts, calenders, a necklace, and.... a vibrator. Yes, that's right, snicker and giggle for a bit, because I, a single guy, bearded, long hair, etc, bought a vibrator. It's for a female friend of mine, I swear. :) She said she wanted one, and I told her I'd get her one next time I had the chance. So, I did. Was kind of amusing, though I wonder now if it might end up being too big for her. It's like an 8 1/4 or some such length. Tis a pretty big piece... I think she'll enjoy it. Hmmm... I wonder if I can install a mini cam on it. *snicker* Just kidding of course. She's just a friend. Hope she enjoys her gift though. But dayum I'm tired. Flight lef Vegas at 11:30 pm... I got into Orlando at 7:40 am. Didn't really sleep on the flight. Went into a semi aware half sleep. Very very tired right now. No real rest today, washed my car, hung out with some of my friends, etc, but no sleep. I'm nodding off as I type this. So I think I'll just post more tomorrow. *nodding off*
