So, all week Mr. Curry has been telling us in MEAP the the Interstate road system was built to facilitate mass evacuations from cities in case of a nuclear disater or some other Commie Pinko threat. Now, with Rita, we see people running out of gas on the freeways because they're idling for too long. In the words of Chris... Critical failure. Basically, the lesson of Rita is WE'RE FUCKED if something truly catastrophic happens and we all need to evacuate. I mean, most of Houston is not evacuating and the roads are still parking lots. Woot. Good thing Russia never did send those bombs....
