Character name: Kula Diamond
Fandom: King of Fighters
Timeline: Post King of Fighters XI
Age: 14
~*Magical*~ abilities and strengths: Kula uses something called the anti-K arts. Which is basically just means that she has control over ice. While using her powers, her hair color changes from ginger to bright light blue. She can pretty much do anything with her ice including attacking, defending (creating a shield) and even freezing opponents. She also can kick people pretty hard.
How would they use their abilities?: While Kula isn't evil* or anything she does like fighting. So she'd likely take up anyone who asked for a practice round. She's also more than capable of defending herself and her friends and doesn't hesitate to do so. She's also likely to kick anyone in the face if they take her candy, just saying.
*I'm taking Kula from a canon point where she's switched from antagonist to protagonist.
Appearance:
official art and here's some
fanart of her powered down hair color.
Kula is 5'7 and 106 lbs according to her official information. She has long flowing hair that is naturally strawberry blond but upon activation of her powers it turns to an icey blue. Kula's skin is pale and her eyes are bright crimson. She wears a purple leather outfit with yellow gloves.
Background/Personality:
Okay so Kula is a clone created by an evil organization called NESTS. Like all evil organizations they want to take over the world but they're kind of dumb and they only try to take over the world using clones of a guy named Kyo Kusanagi. NESTS' motto is if one clone fails, make a new one, and Kula is the attempt after creating K'. See, both Kyo and K' have control over fire, are men, and are rough and tough dudes. Kula was created to be the exact opposite of them because since K' escaped, NESTS wanted him dead, and for some reason they thought the opposite of him would be a good match. Kula is young, feminine, and has control over ice instead of fire.
Kula starts off as an emotionless killer who only knows how to take orders from NESTS. But when I say emotionless I really only mean that she can only experience glee as she stomps over her enemies. She likes fighting and she's pretty loyal to NESTS but she does disobey orders if she doesn't think the person she's fighting would be fun for her to kill. Even as an antagonist, Kula is a 14 year old kid. Children don't want to do things that aren't fun for them and Kula is the same. She also sometimes defies her orders for the sake of others.
Kula's first interaction with death on a personal level is in the second game in the NESTS arc. In 00' Kula kills Zero by orders of NESTS and then destroys the Zero cannon. Candy, a robot and Kula's friend, guards her and protects her as the two fall back down to earth. The earth's atmosphere destroys Candy. This is the first time Kula feels sadness and nowadays Kula keeps Candy around, trying to find parts to rebuild her. This is also an example of her Kula would sometimes not follow orders or do extra things to help people. NESTS did not order the destruction of the Zero cannon but she still took it on herself to do so.
At first, Kula's emotions are locked away. However, after NESTS is disbanded, Kula finally gets the chance to live as a normal 14 year old girl. She became allies with her former targets, K', Maxima, and Whip after they all came to the realization that they were all victims of NESTS. Kula as a result is rather emotional at times. Her reaction to something that angers her is to punch it. If something makes her upset, she openly cries about it. If something makes her happy, she giggles and tells the world about it. Kula is an open book, in a sense. Even after Candy, her best friend, is dead she still talks about her like she's still alive and will happily tell anyone all about her. Everyone is Kula's friend... well anyone that doesn't threaten her with flames at least. Or call her a little kid, she hates that. Despite her age she's rather independent and she likes taking care of herself. She's going to do what she wants when she wants to and not much of anyone has a say otherwise.
She's inquisitive about the world around her. To her, the world is her playground. She's talkative and sometimes a bit offensive. She often refers to people by her first observations, such as 'weird guy' and 'old guy' which, as you can imagine, a lot of people find rather offensive. Her thought process is hardly logical and resembles a young child. For example, in one instance where someone asks her if she wants an autograph, she ignores him, rambles on about how she loves signing her autograph too and says that if he wants, she'd be happy to sign his butt. Where this line of reasoning comes from, I'm honestly not sure, but at best you'll get a response from her that is only half related to what you were talking about even if it was a simple yes or no question. A lot of people have a hard time dealing with Kula, and their first reaction is to find her parents or whoever's responsible for her.

1st person sample:
Hey! Where am I? Is this what K' always talked about? Kidnapping? He warned me that if I didn't stop doing things on my own something bad would happen! Boy, maybe he was right! Some big guy told me that earth was destroyed! Isn't he a funny guy? Those big guys have a really great sense of humor, Kula laughed really really hard!
Helloooo? Is anyone there? I would like answers please! Anyone who answers can buy Kula a strawberry sorbet!
3rd person sample:
Kula liked the S.S. Thor. She knew plenty of people who didn't like it and wanted to go home but she really wasn't one of those people. If anything she thought it was fun. There were different candies to try everyday and lots of different people in different shapes, sizes, and even species to talked to. She enjoyed bothering them and asking about whatever she could. Like where they're going, why they're doing what they're doing, what they're eating/drinking, what their favorite color was... the possibilities were endless.
There was only one thing that Kula didn't like about the S.S. Thor.
After going out for another day of general socializing and candy grabbing, Kula dragged back a pile of scrap metal to her room. She picked the sharp metal up, and carefully placed it in the corner of the room with more scraps of metal. Her roommates complained about the mess and the health hazard, asking Kula to clean up, but she'd never throw it out. This was a source of argument amongst her roommates, but in the end, Kula always won. Sometimes, through kicks to her roommate's faces.
After all, Kula had to be ready to fix Candy if she ever came back.
