Not yet, but almost! Leaving on Friday, so I'll be there on Saturday. If I could take you with me, I would! If and when I eventually own our family home, everyone's invited.
Sicily! There's a huge chance you still have family there. Do you know any of them? My aunt and nonna just went to Sicily last autumn and brought back all those amazing photos. I really, really want to go eventually.
I don't, though I could probably track them down through my aunt who is very into genealogy. It's a dream trip for me! Someday. I often find myself jealous of your travels. :D
You should! Italian families are so wonderful and loving in that absolutely cliché way; I'm so glad I got to meet some of mine last year. And I have no doubt you'll get to go there one day.
Awww, I wish everyone who wants to could travel all the time. It really is easier when you're living in Europe, though. I sometimes forget how huge most other countries are, especially the US and Canada and Australia. Countries like that. It's a two or three hour drive at most to Poland and the Czech Republic from where I live; about eleven or twelve hours to Italy (and Austria / Switzerland in between); ten-ish to France, and maybe six or so to Denmark. Whereas you guys can drive for, well, not days (anymore), I guess, but nearly, and still be in the same country. I'm not sure which I prefer, actually, the longer I think about it. But yeah, Europe (and especially the EU) certainly makes travelling to other countries very easy. But then, I'm often jealous of people who have jobs and happy relationships and families, and sometimes think I would

And happy belated birthday, love! :)
