bsg_epics Charity Fic Drive
with all proceeds split among three community-selected charities (The It Gets Better project, Doctors Without Borders and Amnesty International)
Very basically, how it works:
- pledge to pay x amount of money for every fic of a particular type (make a request, i.e., "I'll pay $5 for every gen fic during the Pegasus arc" or "I'll pay $20 for one fic in which Laura is a princess and Bill a knight in shining armor" or "I'll pay $1 for a Laura/Bill fic". You can request a crossover with another series, AU, porn, or canon spackle. Anything you want!
- Pledge whatever amount you want, big or small, until Nov. 9.
- If you don't want to request a fic but want to donate, you can do that too.
- If you can't donate, you can sign up later to write a fic (or more than one, 1,000 word minimum) to fulfill a pledge. Fic must be done by January 31, 2012.
