There is a very long shipswap fic slowly making its way out of me... that sounded terrible. Jesus. All I can think of now is Human Centipede. Goddamn it. Luckily that has nothing to do with my fic. NOTHING.
Hate on the movie all you want, but this song inspires my emo/angst writing all the time:
And it may be cliché, but this song got my complicated and strange sex scene finally off the ground (and landing again) after I angsted about it for months:

I will be home a half day with my sick daughter tomorrow... last time I was home with her due to illness, I wrote Guest of Honor, so I'm hopeful (and realizing that wow, she rarely falls ill)

I did a 5K this weekend that involved running through a corn maze, crawling through tractor tires and over them, going across a murky stream on a log and climbing a tower of hay bales. The good news: I beat all the walkers! And a couple of sexagenarians (heh heh heh).
