I'm using some free time at work to start reading some
bsg_bigbang fic, and this one is so outstanding that I had to stop a third of the way through to rec it.
no one's the killer and no one's the martyr by
leiascully is a BSG Western AU. It's told from Kara's POV, therefore, this story at its core contains two things I don't normally enjoy: westerns and Kara Thrace. But her Kara is so engaging (as are all of the characters) and the story is so enticingly written that I can't stop reading. Well, I just did, but not for long.
This story has a lesbian feature pairing (or two... or maybe more, I don't know yet!) but it also explores het relationships and again, gives us fantastic gen characterizations and interactions. I can't say enough good things about it. I think it has something to please everyone.
Trust me... this story is as enjoyable to read as it is easy, yet there's a lot of complexity woven into these relationships.
The story is hosted at Archive of Our Own, but I linked you to her LJ post where you can leave feedback.
