In light of recent events....
I feel like I must get this out...
The universe does not want me to go to Japan. Something ALWAYS happens just before I'm able to go.
I don't mean anything bad in any way, shape or form. Life happens. It's sad and unpredictable, just as much as it is enlightening and filled with opportunity.
In 2011, I was supposed to study aboard in Japan for 5 weeks. A month before the trip, the Earthquake/Tsunami happened and the trip was cancelled.
Just a few weeks ago, North Korea was making threats to practically all of Asia and the US.
Just earlier today, I found out that my grandmother is not doing well at all and we're not sure how much time she has left...just 4 days before my trip with my dad. This also happens to be my dad's mother. We decided to take a trip to New York to visit her, to get answers as much as to see her one last time should anything go south during our 20-day trip on the opposite side of the world.
Hopefully nothing will happen, but it's never a guarantee.
