Black Cards made there first appearance at Lollapalooza in Chicago at Grant Park on Friday the 5TH. This was the biggest audience they have played for. As for my friend David (@davidjude) and I (thnxfrthmrs) we waited 6 hours to see them play at the BMI stage. Black Cards is not Fall Out Boy and are not trying to be Fall out boy. This is a new project the Pete has been wanting to do for awhile. Fall out boy isn’t done forever, each member just wanted to experience some new things, and as far as it looks they seem to be doing really well and all the members support each other. Joe Trohman actually showed up at Lollapalooza to show support for his fellow band mate Pete. The set up was very different then what there past shows have been like. Pete did not play the bass, he actually had his DJing stuff out. They play a lot of there new songs, which are very dance like but very good. They had 2 back up dancers that danced the whole time. Very nice to watch. You could see the energy that Bebe, Pete and Spencer had it was amazing! They interacted with the crowed so much. Bebe had the best dance moves there, she danced her ass off loved her energy. Spencer also showed lots of smiles while playing drums. Pete crowed surfed about 4 or 5 times along with throwing his moms toilet paper in the crowed and beach balls. They highlight of the show was when Bebe and Pete pulled David and I on stage twice for 2 songs Dominos and Club Called Heaven. For Club Called Heaven Bebe and Pete pulled alot of fans on stage to dance and you could see the energy in the audience and on stage. Black Cards wanted to make this show different then others they have had, by adding back up dancers and interacting with the crowed and bringing them on stage. This was by far one of the best sets they have done. Everyone loved the new music and new look on stage. If you are a new fan of Black Cards thats great because you are in for some good music and fun! Black Cards has not set a date for their album but expect it to be out very soon and have lots of special guest including Tyler from Neon trees, Shaggy, Gabe Saporta, and Pete is wanting Travie to do a song so we will probably see him on there too! If you are wanting to go see a good band and wanting to dance a lot and have fun Black Cards is the one to go see. I hope everyone gets a chance to hear them and even any Fall out boy fans that don’t follow Black Cards should give them a chance because once you see them on stage you will love them!
