Fire in Florida
I'm still working my ass off in Florida, Today we did a prescribed fire on the beach front. There are a bunch of plants and trees that we just burned it was crazy. I was so close to all the flames and my face felt like it was on fire. For anyone who doesn't know about prescribed fires they are important for the enviroment because it allows new growth and cut down on any major out of control forest fires to come in the furture. Basically its a forest fire controlled. I got to wear all the fire man gear and use the big ass hose and what not. It was pretty bad ass with all 12 of us trying to control the fire. It got a little scary at one point where we had to make a cave wall in a hill to take shelter from the fire so we wouldn't get burned.
Other then that I've been in Florida cutting trees down, planting new ones making bike and hiking trails with a machetty and leading boat trips. I have some great pics of everything... I can't wait to get everything loaded in here.
Things are all well around out L shaped house. I finally made a huge connection with subba steve and he has told me that he actually really likes me and would like to go out on a date at one point. For a while I was feeling like the odd sheep out in the group at our house but now I have princess (mr. Alex) and steve to go to and its actually been a great time getting to know both of them. Meg one of my team mates might be leaving the program based on the fact that she has a STD and needs time to deal with it and be with family at this point. She got it while we were in Fl so this is all new to her. I feel really bad and I'm gonna be way sad to see her go.
Tonight I'm going into town to eat gator (yummmy) and see ocean 12 I can't wait should be a blast.....
I'll be in Florida till next friday and then back in Charleston a few days before I fly home for x-mas. Hurray for the 4 cars coming to the mancester airport to come pick me up at 11 pm. I'm suppost to land at 11 on the 22nd ad can't wait to see all of you. Nicole I know I'm going to cry lots and lots when I see you. Will I can't wait to see your new face stash and see you again, Sie I'm major happy you got the day off and is coming. Ricky your missing out kid but that's ok I'll be at the bus station when you get home. Maxxo- I love you very much and miss you like crazy I'm so happy your coming to get me at the airport I have so much to share with you.
