No, it's not. It's not the same at all. Kiba's not just my friend, he's my boss. And this stupid bitch running her mouth off about what kind of boss he is is DIFFERENT, because it's a fucking LIE and it's about how he does his JOB. And I'm not letting someone else come in here and try and take the heat off her for that.

I can understand harsh reactions as a first response to the rudeness, but after testimonials from not only you but several other Adventurers, any slight to Captain Kiba's reputation would have been sufficiently countered, wouldn't it be so?

I happen to believe that combative approach will not make her more eager to understand your point of view. But yes, let's just hope that she will still learn and apologize, and that this commotion doesn't mean our community is that judgmental over what can be attributed to inexperience rather than malice.

After all, not all who are perfectly mannered are virtuous.

What, you mean judgemental like her when she's judging someone she doesn't even know? Kiba's got a ton of friends, saying he's got no social skills is a joke. And why the hell's she bringing all this up now when it happened a week ago? She's going out of her way to cause trouble. That's malice in my book.

We don't know whether the consequences of this outburst-being denied hiring and potentially jeopardizing other employment prospects-is enough to send a message, do we? And I don't know why she brings this up a week after the fact, but I don't see anyone here asking.

Humans tend to have opinions and yes, personal judgment, but it's a different matter when it is starting to look like collective attack to dissenting voice. I believe Captain Target had aptly said everything that needs to be said to her. I'm afraid we might be going into a cycle where things escalate, what could have been settled between Captain Kiba and Ice.
