Her harsh tone was at odds with the gentle hands she laid on his arm. A whisper of Healing-Craft was coursing through his body, an arrow of warmth that sped through him and alerted her to all of his injuries.
"And let you keep the bruises for graduation if you want," she added dryly.

It was more that he made sure she wasn't invited because he was going to be skipping town before the ceremony.
He gritted his teeth a bit, but he didn't resist whatever it was Karla was doing. He didn't put it past her to actually break his jaw if she wanted to. Not that he actually thought she was likely to, but he was having a few trust issues.

Pity he was already planning on skipping town at the nearest convenience.
"I've dealt with worse," he said, a complete lie. "I just need some sleep and some food and I'll be okay. Preferably not in that order, though."

Until someone sat on her and made her eat until her body remembered how to function on its own. And then she'd claim to of the pizzas for herself and try to fight for a third.
"Do you like tea?" she asked. "I've got some that might help calm your nerves a little."
