Emma had skipped class yesterday, preferring instead to cocoon herself in a pile of blankets and try to sleep-off her powers hangover. She didn't need to give herself a worse migraine by listening to Professor Dèmon prattle on, no matter how entertaining and well-intentioned he was.

Bobby didn't listen to radio often, but when there was weirdness going on? He made a point of it.

Which was also why he was making a point of showing up in Emma's doorway with a bag of chocolate candies.

"Hey, you," he greeted.

Emma put her movie on pause to give Bobby a little wave. "I got lost and ended up skipping through your brain the other night until I found my way out," she said bluntly. "I hope it didn't itch."

"Hey, you didn't throw a rock at it, so you're one up on Warren," Bobby said, pointing to the smallish bruise forming above his right eye. Telepaths being in his head (even accidentally) was hardly unfamiliar territory.

He held up the chocolates. "I don't know if chocolate actually cures all ills, but it can't hurt, right?"

"Warren threw a rock at you?" Emma gestured for Bobby to come sit with her. "Let me take a look, darling, and perhaps chocolate with cure both our ills."

"He thought I was some sort of half-pony half-monkey monster," Bobby explained, coming in to sit next to Emma. "I thought he was a.... very jumpy lizard."

Bobby just wrinkled his nose at her as he submitted to the poking. "I've been over this with Sookie already. If I'm gonna be an animal, it's gonna be a penguin." Because he totally had control over that sort of thing.

"Just like I 'chose' to be an ermine?" she asked sweetly, giving him an extra poke. "If we get to pick, I want something a little bit more intimidating next time."

Bobby gave a little snort of laughter at that. "Emma, you'd make an intimidating budgie." Yes, that was meant as a compliment.

Emma totally preened at that. "Why Mr. Drake, you say the sweetest things."

"What can I say? It's a gift," he grinned at her. Then another thought occurred to him. "I hope you didn't see anything, uh, embarrassing in my head." He was, after all, very much a teenage boy. With plenty of teenage-boy thoughts.

"Nothing embarrassing to you," she promised, eyes narrowing slightly. "Although a few other people ought to be ashamed of their behaviour."

"...I don't hear that too often," Bobby admitted, a little puzzled. "Usually it's the other way around."
