Beka giggled. "I'd not know. He'd never brought one home with him."

"Although I'm sure there's more than a few perfectly nice lady cats on the island," Emma informed Beka over Pounce's head. "If he has a friend, it's quite rude of him not to introduce us, don't you agree?"

"Don't be cranky," Beka dropped a kiss on top of Pounce's head afore she climbed out of her bed and moved to Emma's side of the room.
