Happy Easter All!
My easter wasn't to eventful. i went to the sunrise survice. there were a total of, i believe, 27 people there. it wasn't to chilly, probably only about 24 degress, but we were sitting in the middle of a corn fiend, so that made it a tad bit worse. After we said a short prayer, and went through a small bulliten, everyone started making there was toward a cross that sat upon a hill, over looking the new land site. as per usual tradition, i raced my father to the cross. and, as per usual tradition, i lost.
The service its self, at church, was.... interesting. My sister and i got these really cute outfits, that almost matched, exept for a few diffrences, and mine was pink and hers was green. We did our hair the same and all.
So, we get to church, and i start to usher. Chris (my sister) was standing next to me, talking. One of the ladys whos incharge of getting a kid to light the candels runs over to us and almost begs us to do it, we both refuse. there was a man standing behind her so she just turned to him and asked him to do it, which he said he would. so the survice starts, and its FULL. there may have been a good 200 people! So, everyone starts to sing, and the man walks up in the front of the church to light the candels. he gets them lit alright, but on the way down off the stage ( its raised a little) he tripped, fell INTO this huge cross we had in the corner, knocked it down, AND yelled an obscene word REALLY loud, ALL in front of everyone. Everyone was trying so hard to laugh, but not chris and I. were in the back, busting a gut, i was actually CRYING. It was the freakin funniest thing i'd ever seen.
Well, the rest of the survice went well. Chris sang her solo beautifully as usual ( Its almost annoying having to be in her shadow. shes the genious, the Wonderful singer, the musician. The only things i have over her are that i'm a tad prettier (yes, i know that sounds vain, but... well, i'm tryin to make myself feel better here!) and i've got a more.. out going personality) My ushering went well.
The rest of the day, however, was SO boring! I spent most of it sleeping ( i'm actually starting to get concened. i dont think i eat enough, is my problem) But then i went out to see a late night showing of " Ella Enchanted" with Chris, and just now got back.
