how to make something your wallpaper:
-go to this post on your iphone, or email yourself the image you want
(or save the image to the folder of pics you put on your ipod/phone)
-click the link that corresponds to the desired image
-touch and hold down on the image until you see this:
-click "save image"
-go to settings/wallpaper/camera roll
-select the image, click arrow in bottom left and then "use as wallpaper"
-resize to your preferences, so it looks something like this:
