[He doesn't really know what else to say. That much is true. But the people in that house are more important to him than four walls could ever be, and he knows he can't protect these particular four walls effectively. Which makes the request to move selfish because it's to ease his own guilt, which makes him worry that he may be missing something important just because he wants to ease that guilt, which makes him more determined to prove that guilt wrong before he reminds himself that he can't because it's a fact, which leads him to believe moving would be best, which makes the request to move selfish, which just leaves him trapped in endless circles of meaningless reasoning.]
