You wake up in a world of snow and ice, an endless world without so much as a tree or a bush or a rodent. The cold tundra is far from inviting, and who knows what lurks just outside of sight. For all you know, it could even be, say, a giant, angry ice dragon. The only thing that makes a mark against the white out is a cave with a large opening. It emits a warm light to combat the cold exterior.
If you decide to venture inside the cave, you will be greeted by a spacious underground rest spot. A fire is alight in the center surrounded by a ring of rocks, though there's no wood burning. It's simply there, its light dancing across the cave walls and ceiling. It quickly becomes apparent, however, that this light isn't normal. It gathers in very specific, very familiar shapes, manipulating light and dark to create shadow puppets of different people Hitsugaya's met throughout his life.
In the back of the cave, not illuminated by the fire, is a tunnel that leads deeper into the cave, but it's blocked with a wall of ice. The wall's strength compared to what it had been the last time this event took place is noticeably weaker. It wouldn't take much effort to break it. Not that whatever is within appears all that inviting.
