[ Iceland definitely isn't and wasn't exactly the one to decline free things, especially those of a certain alcoholic variety. Norway wasn't the only one tipsy in this situation. The only reason (he tells himself) he's letting Norway rest on him in such a way is because no one was around, and, well, the alcohol certainly helped buzz him into a more comfortable state of mind. His cheeks are satisfyingly warm and slightly flushed.

That look serves to make Iceland lean the other way slightly, but not anything that would render Norway's head to shift away from his shoulder. It's not as surprising when buzzed. ]

What's that? I thought you knew everything about me.

[ Half joking. Half serious. Iceland doesn't quite know. ]

[Norway smiles at that. A real smile, warm, not the faint hint of it that he usually has. Blame it on the booze, or the comfort, perhaps.]

Can't say I know everything, no.

Was thinkin'....

[He takes a long drink, takes that moment to sort his thoughts. It's easier, somehow, when they're like this.]

Was wonderin' about what we talked about the other day. Doin'... that. Y'know.

[Vague hand-wave. Surely Ice understands what he means, right?]

D'you even know what you're doin' with that?

[ Well, there was only ONE talk they happened to have THE OTHER DAY, so it wasn't hard for him to figure out. Though he still takes a moment to register that they're actually talking about it. ]

... If you wanna give me a birds-and-the-bees talk, Nor, it's a bit too late.

[ Will take his own long drink upon this certain topic arising. It does seem easier to talk about. For one, it's not a cafe. For two, he's obviously looser. ]

I've done it a few times.

[ He didn't ask you HOW MANY TIMES you did it, Iceland. But good try. ]

[A chuckle slips out of Norway at that. He shakes his head, laughs again, and drinks. Then curls closer to Iceland, nestled against him comfortably.]

No, no, 's not it. Knew you already know that. Figured you'd done it 'n whatnot.

[He knows Iceland is trying to dodge the question. Too bad for him.]

Didn't ask how much, though. Asked if'n you know what the hell you're doin'.

Of course I know what I'm doing... It's not like it requires anything special or anything...

[ He's being kind of ignorant on purpose, because he doesn't really know how good he is in those situations. No one has ever told him he was bad... But, well, they COULD have been being polite. Crap. He's questioning himself now. They didn't exactly say he was good at it, either.

He relaxes back into his seat, a long, thoughtful sigh reveals itself before he takes another drink. He has no idea. ]

Why?

Was just thinkin'. Y'mentioned...

[Norway trails off, trying to remember it. How had he said it?]

Said it didn't feel good or summat. Now.

[Looks to him, and raises an eyebrow]

Far's 'm concerned, if'n it don't feel good, you're doin' it all wrong.

I guess I mumbled something like that...

[ Shifts in place a bit. ]

Was feeling stressed out at the time. S'fine once it gets, y'know...

[ It's his turn to make hand gestures. ]

... Going. I think.

Y'think?

[He looks away. Drinks. Considers. "Think" is not very... definite. And he knows he really shouldn't be putting his nose into it; this is personal stuff. But damn it, personal or not, he's concerned for Iceland, and wants... the best for him. At all points.]

Think y'need t'find someone what can show you the ropes, if'n you're going to go 'n keep doing this kind've thing.

[ Tempted to reply with something along the lines of, You think I really need that much help? Buuuuut... Stops himself. His pride isn't nearly as strong while in this buzzy state. And, hey, getting better at something like that definitely won't result in anything bad. ]

... Easier said than done, Nor. Can't just approach just anyone and tell them to give me pointers about that kind of thing.

iceandheather April 14 2011, 05:51:40 UTC
[He does think Iceland needs that much help. Unfortunately, that help won't appear easily.]

You're right. Can't be just anyone. Has t'be someone trustworthy. 'N someone you know well, too. Maybe....

[Norway frowns a bit, and tries to think of someone. Much, much easier said than done.]

Trustworthy... Know well...

[ Holds his free hand up a little, fully expecting to do a countdown of the people who fit that description. However, he stops after one.

Norway ... ]

... [ Clears his throat a bit, and takes another long drink. ]

N-Not many I can think of.

[ His face was red from the alcohol before, but now it is significantly more flushed. ]

[Norway glances at him. Assumes the blush is from the conversation, which in a way, it is. Then, goes back to thinking on it.]

Same. Can think've...

[He goes through the options in his head. Denmark? No, can't trust him not to run his mouth. Sweden? Doesn't know him so well as that, and wouldn't be interested, anyway. Finland? Trusty, yes, but not familiar enough. That leaves...]

...One.

[He meant to say 'None'. He did mean to say it. But it slipped out, somehow. Norway flushes deeply as he realizes he said it, doesn't want to elaborate. So he lets it hang.]

[ Oh, Norway, if only Iceland knew you meant NONE instead of ONE... Instead of asking who, Iceland already understands who Norway is probably thinking of. He can see that red on Norway's cheeks from the corner of his eyes. ]

... It would be weird to approach them about it, though.

[ Subtle, Iceland, subtle. ]

Really... Weird...

[ He never mentions it being a bad thing, however. He does not mention his dislike for such an idea, either. His mind is busy wandering now. ]

[Norway takes a good long drink. With this on his mind, he needs it. Downs the rest, then sets the glass on the coffee table.]

Maybe. Maybe not so much weird as jus'....

[A vague hand-gesture as he curls close to Iceland once more.]

Jus' awkward. At first.

[He had never entertained the thought of it. But now he does, the more he thinks of it the more he finds himself... not disliking it, necessarily. Not opposed to it.]

I think you're right...

[ Takes a moment to finish off his current drink, setting the empty on the table to free himself up. Norway being so close to him wasn't something he experienced on an everyday basis, that's for sure. He really liked it, though he would never admit such a thing.

He leans back again, more-so into Norway than before. His arm slowly goes to try to wrap around Norway's curled figure slightly. The warmth was nice. He can't help but notice Norway's hair curl as he does. Could probably just... Reach out and touch it. He wonders what would happen. I guess his curiosity is fueled by alcohol, as well. ]

It would just be at first, though, right...? Things get... Better...?

[ More-so reassuring himself of that then legitimately asking. ]

If'n they know you well's all that, 'n you trust 'm well's that...

[As Iceland slides his arm around him, Norway shifts to make it easier, leaning closer to him in the process. Tilts his head a bit to look up at him, the blush mostly having faded from his cheeks now; the faint rosy tint that remains is all the fault of the alcohol. Norway's thinking now, going over it, deciding.]

[It would be all right, wouldn't it.]

...Can't see why it wouldn't.
