Hey everyone....it's almost time for Take Back the Night again and if any of you who read this can come it'd be rad! Here's some of the things we're planning:
Tuesday April 24th-Thursday April 26th
The Clothesline Project will be on display on campus from 8am until 4pm and will have a tent for survivors to make their own tshirts to hang on the line and allies can write encouraging messages for survivors on the mini-line
Tuesday April 24th
Film showing of "There's Something About Mary" on the lawn outside of the Los Alamitos dorms with a discussion about stalking with Dr. Monica Lange. This one is gonna be fun!!
Wednesday April 25th
Film showing of "Beyond Beats and Rhymes: Black Masculinity in Hip Hop" by Byron Hurt....not sure what room we reserved or what time....but if you're interested let me know
Thursday April 26th
Take Back the Night rally in front of Brotman Hall beginning at 6:15. I'm the emcee and I'll be up there ranting and raving so you should come cheer me on! Then we're marching through campus followed by a speak out against sexual violence at the sacred American Indian lands Puvungna with tribal drumming and a big big fire :)
There's some workshops going on during the day too but I can't remember them off the top of my head. I hope to see you there!
