Know what sucks? Having your birthday overshadowed by Jesus. Especially when your family is all Christian and likes celebrating things like that. It came to my attention today that Easter's happening the same weekend as my birthday this year. I didn't expect that because it's never happened before in my life. In fact.....I did some research. This is the earliest date Easter's ever been since 1818...when it actually happened ON my birthday. And that day in 1818 was the earliest day in history that it happened, and hasn't done it again since. It's not even the fact that it's a holiday that ticks me off. It's just that Easter is one of those mandatory family events I'm always guilted into attending.....which TOTALLY contradicts my only birthday wish: not seeing my family on or around my birthday. Why do they have to keep moving Easter around anyways? They seem to be fine with picking an arbitrary day for Christmas and sticking to that every year.
Know what Jesus??? Next December 25th.....I'm painting Easter Eggs and eating pastel M&M's. Payback's a bitch, huh?
