Hello dear friends.
I come to you seeking advice. Maybe I’m being paranoid, maybe I’m being overprotective and, well, maybe I’m being both.
As most of you know I’m a mother to two beautiful, very active boys, aged 7 & 9. In a couple of weeks we are heading for a summer holiday in Spain for two weeks with my extended family; a group of 15 adults and kids. We are going to a very popular “tourist” place and I expect there will be a lot of people and children there.
Here comes my dilemma. My biggest fear (and most parents I imagine) is that they will be lost or taken while we are there. So I was thinking as a precaution, I could make a card for them; resent photo, fingerprints and a lock of hair, and then simply throw it away when I get home. Bad idea, good idea?
The case of Magdalena McCann sits in my like a stone and like I said, it’s just a precaution IF my greatest fear comes true.
Another thing. My older one speaks/reads a bit of English (thank you, Minecraft) and would manage to tell a police officer where we are staying if he got lost, his and our names, etc, the younger one does not. Do any of you have an idea how I could “mark” him with information and what it should say? “I was thinking a small card in a small plastic folder on a string around his neck that he could put under his T when we are out and about but he might not always have a T on. I guess I could always tattoo it on his back… (I’m kidding).
Any advice or ideas are appreciated.
Also, HOLIDAY \o/
Thank you,
Ziggee
