Well, I had a delightful vacation.
I had Thursday-Today off, and my mother, and Austin's paternal grandparents traded off care.
On Friday, Devin and I went to Blizzard beach:

We stayed at the doubletree @ Universal that evening, and ate at Kobe steakhouse.
On Saturday, we went to Islands of adventure.
We bought the express passes, which allows you to cut ahead of lines. Good thing, because it being memorial day weekend, the place was crazy crowded.
Last thing you want to do on vacation is spend all day waiting in line for rollercoasters.
I arrived back on Saturday evening, and picked up Austin because I missed him.
On Sunday, Austin;s paternal grandparent and Aunt were visting and asked to spend some time with him.
He saw his cousins and had a good time. It's always nice to see Austin getting positve interaction with that side of his family.
Once Jason is removed from the equation, they are actually quite pleasant.
On a less than positive note, Austin's paternal grandfather, whom he has never met was in town as well.
He once again:
1. did not acknowledge Austin
2. doesn't care
I talked to Penny, Jason's mother about it some. While we had a pretty horrible relationship when Jason and I were together, we get along quite well now.
She warned me that he was in town, and inquiring about the kids, not my child of course, but Jessica's
I don't fucking get it. He was staying literally a minute from my house, has steady contact with Jason (Jason and him both live in Miami), but has no desire to see his grandchild?
I have met this man. He fawned over me when I was pregnant. It is just beyond my understanding how you can just deny a family member like that.
I think I am so adament about changing Austin's last name because that name is his family name.
Jason's step father treats Austin like his own, my father is a great grandad and my step father loves Austin to death, but I am hurt that he would deny my child like that.
On a lighter note, I <3 Devin.
