I am not quick to judge an author in Plagiarism, I think that there are only so much material in books and therefore it is difficult to find ideas that are completely new

I don't know if this is the book but if it is the same one I know it was a bit to close to the Black Jewels to be just an 'ops' or such. I don't remember people saying it was also copyed from LKH's works. But then I have not read her books so maybe just not note? I sady don't remember the name or author. I only remember it was in first person and she knew nothing of the world and somehow got there. An old friend found the book and showed me. I read a bit but it was just so bad with trash sex parts and annoying talking I did not finish speed reading it.
Edit: This is the book I read. Yah it is way to close to BJ I think. No idea what went though Sunny's mind. I will ask this, it seems like you read the book all the way and maybe would have read the series. Is it worth it? I know copy of BJ or part but the library would fix that. Is it better than I had thought? It could be I was just so annoyed about BJ being copyed I did not give it a fair chance.
It's not worth it. Just borrow the copy from the library so you can see how awful it is if you really want to give it fair chance.
The writing style is like Hamilton's, but the idea is very similar to both Hamilton and Bishop's work that they were BOTH mentioned in the acknowledgements in the release in trade.
Hamilton's work..... touch and go. She has good solid ideas. However, the writing style became bad from Mistral's Kiss onwards in the Meredith Gentry series. In Anita Blake, the first was good, and some people say that it was good until book 7 or something I haven't read it beyond the first book.
She's my guilty pleasure. The sex is a distractor, but if you're going to read Meredith Gentry, the point of the entire series is that sex is part of the culture, so if you don't like heavy explicit sex in your novels, you're not going to like it.
As for Sunny. Gah. Just read her books from the library so that, as I said, if anyone asks, you can say: "Don't buy, read in the library if you must and It's BAD" with conviction.
I haven't read LKH's books so have no comparison there, but the one short story by Sunny that I've read (in the anthology ON THE PROWL) just turned my stomach. Even here in your comparisons, I don't like her writing.
In your examples, it sounds like there is perhaps too much similarity. But I know that I am biased both for Anne Bishop and against Sunny even without a comparison between them.
haha train wreck, that's such an apt description for it. Just PLEASE tell me you didn't buy her books and just, I don't know, borrowed from the library :p
Sunny is the wife of the author who wrote BROTHERS. She decided she wanted to write one day and well produced this load of ****.
I don't really know why she just decided to be named Sunny maybe because her last name doesn't go with the name... Yu Sunny? Or the Chinese name doesn't go with the genre. Or something.
Well there is that way to go about it. Download it for free.
Brothers... is good. Very sad, but good. I haven't read it yet, but my sister loves it, and with the way she tells it, it sounds good. It's Chinese Communism fiction. Very realistic and written well.
He's Da Chen? I thought it was Yu something? Oh well, he wrote BROTHERS I'm pretty sure of it.
I know so many similarities. The publishers should be shot too. Why are they printing something that has everything lifted?
IKR? uhhh sorry, I suddenly realized that it's not standard net lingo...
I KNOW RIGHT!?
Not that I am an extreme fan of hamilton, but at least her work is original. She took scenes from hamilton and world building from bishop.
She needs to have a whack in the head. I can't believe that Cassie Edwards was called out on plagiarism, when people let go of Sunny's BLATANT disrespect of copyright.

I really tried reading her series just to be objective. It's the one series that I really can't be objective about. Sorry Ms. Sunny.
