had one of those days...
one of those days, when i need to listen to 1480AM, the only hispanic channel in the area, because they're the only ones that play tejano music that my dad and grandma loved so much. had to drive down to the panaderia to get abuelita's favorite churros, then come home and cook her favorite recipes with the radio blasting.
taste and sound are supposed to be the strongest triggers for memory, right?
i miss what home used to be. doing these things doesn't completely fill this ridiculous hole.. but sometimes i feel like it brings me a little closer to what home once was for me.
i feel ridiculously old when i write stuff like that!! good lord. ...welll, my birthday is next month..aghh. -head wall-
