MARVEL VS. CAPCOM
my homie ended up coming over today, and we played ended up watching the rest of the pacific and stuffing our faces with pizza (YUM, never leave me again chicago deep dish!!)...but the rest was spent playing the epic-ness of MARVEL VS. CAPCOM. there were lots of deadpool/phoenix wright beat downs--not to mention the dante vs. deadpool beatdowns. seriously capcom, PHOENIX WRIGHT? i mean, don't get me wrong, it was entertaining BUT STILL...oye.
dante vs. deadpool in canon-verse though...THAT'D be an interesting brawl. now i want to play more devil may cry; i'm intrigued by the character. anyway, 'nother meme; about two months too late, but EL OH WELL.
1. What did you do in 2011 that you'd never done before?
learn the fine art of funeral arranging.
2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
i don't think i even made a resolution!!
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
my cousins reproduce at the rate of 12234923 babies per month. so yes.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
unfortunately. i lost my dad and abuelita this year.
5. What countries did you visit?
USA, Mexico, Russia, Italy, Ukraine, and Colombia.
6. What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011?
a little peace of mind. more money would help too.
7. What date from 2011 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
August of 2011-- don't remember the exact date...but i had a beautiful dream.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
surviving--i supported my mom and sister (emotionally and otherwise), kept the bills paid, bargained for a raise, AND did some serious career advancement. boo. yah.
9. What was your biggest failure?
still not speaking to my brother.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
a dislocated shoulder, and i had the flu. i got into some scraps, but turned out a-okay.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
umm...i dunno. probably my car.
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
no one's. ALL OF YOU WERE BADLY BEHAVED.
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed? Worried?
my mom and my sister. my mom drank ALOT this year and had some of the worst depressive spells i've ever seen her in. i had to call EMS more than fucking once. my sister started dabbling in drugs again. it was all ridiculously stressful.
14. Where did most of your money go?
bills, food, and gas.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
it was hard for me to really get excited over anything last year...getting to travel alot for work was pretty exciting though.
17. Compared to a year ago, are you: Happier/sadder?
hard to say. i've done alot of recovery this year, so i'll say happier.

thinner. i'm turning into a waif. >__O

enjoyed myself more. i spent so much of last year stressed out; i wish i had just said fuck it and relaxed.

sleeping. i slept alot.

with my dad's side of the family.

nada. i was never a big one-night stand person.

uhm...probably getting reacquainted with The Smiths.

Biutiful. Javier Bardem's acting was FUCKING SUPERB. the movie was shot so beautifully, the actors were phenomenal, and just the story and the struggle the character is going through hit a major chord with me. by the end of it i cried--something I NEVER do. If you haven't seen it, do it. should've won best foreign film.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
kept it low key-- invited my best friend over. we made carne asada, had a couple of beers, and watched justified on DVD; it was good enough for me. it was my 23rd birthday..this year my birthday is gonna be off the hook, or so i've been told.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
hmm...nothing. i did the best i could.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2011?
as my friends call it, ghetto latina fabulous. =_= skinny jeans, boots, huge gold hoop earrings, heavy eyeliner, and curly side ponytail. i never claimed to be a fashion plate.

my friends, my good friend tequila, reading, and believe it or not, work. it kept my mind off things...it was pretty much my savior.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
i can't stand politics. i either end up getting disgusted or angry.

too many people.
