Of stretch marks and low flat slippers

Shea butter can only take you so far.  It doesn't aggravate the process but I think it's partly genetic.  Or so I think, anyway, I've tried 4 brands and it's still showing.  Bleah...now I need a really taut tummy thereafter and light skin tone to hide the marks.

Hubby thinks I'm being vain but I think it's just me natural reaction, so I don't care if he calls me vain anymore.

And I desperately need low flat slip-ons that look suitable for office, are not too "flip flopy-ish" and don't slide easily.  So troublesome but as long as i've lasted, closed toe shoes (ones that I bought at a sale for a slightly bigger size) area already started to hurt when I wear them.

We've worked out our options.  One person doesn't work (and my hubby volunteered based purely on who earned more or less pay) and stays at home full time.  For the first time I broked down both our expenses, it doesn't cover it because of the mortgage.  So sadly, like what most Singaporeans face now, we both still have to work.

The other less preferred alternative is to hire a maid to help out with the kid.  And we are in the midst of applying for work permits etc already - it feels a bit surreal.  Our privacy and way of life will change more dramatically than we imagined with the kid.  I'm just praying all works out well.   And if I pray harder, all will go smoothly when I ask my boss to please let me work from home on afternoons so at least I can keep an eye on the kid.  And slot in an hour or two in between my work as play time / reading time / quality time when her attention is probably high.
